instead of jewels lets use the sapphire and rubies or mayble even diamonds

regarding refining the weapon the first time you refine a weapon it cost 50k e.g it adds a hilt or staff head

2nd time cost 100k it adds a glowing or fiery etc component to the hilt

3rd time cost 200k aura around weapon (30% failure rate if fails you lose the weapon)

4th time cost 400k +1 (to any of your secondary attribute) (40% failure rate if fails you lose weapon)

5th time cost 800k +2 (to any of your primary attribute) (50 failure rate if fails you lose weapon)

The base damage of a person using a physical-based weapon is linked to their attribute, and the weapon's power.
The base damage of spells is linked to the attributes alone.

Buff up damage for weapons, and there's no equivalent for spells.

Edit: Just a reminder.

*fight fight fight*

*grrr... you suck lamer... what a nub idea!!!1*

*stfu!!!*

This is a cool idea. Although I don't much care for the "brighter" aspect, it would be cool if I could pay an armorer to like, take my pants off into shorts, or make my shorts into pants... take the sleeves off my armor, make my ele armor look like necro armor... etc.

nice idea... not sure what I was on about at the beginning of my post, prolly frustration at how quick some people are to flame an idea instead of criticizing, how quick people fight instead of think.

This idea is pretty good.

I like the idea of putting money to make your items add +1% dmg, max at 15%.

Could also use the add 100k or some amount of money to change the modifier of the weapon, like enchanted to health > 50% or any other stat.

And while you are at it, allow users to change the colour on the text of their weapons. 50k for gold colour and such.

It will relieve the economy of weapon selling and buying the same way as it did for rune traders.

And probably make the price of the changes depend on how many of such weapons are sold to the merchants. Like 100 people sell weapons with +dmg when health > 50% and the price of that upgrade goes down.

This will make any worthless weapon instantly have value, and helps to pull down the prices of weapons throughout.

I noticed that some people had a lot of issues with paying money to improve their weapons. What if it could only be done till the max level of whatever stat was reached. For example, if I had some weapon with +13% damage whil health is above 50%, I could only raise it to 15, which is the max. Also, it would be cool to put in gems...

but what would be the best is to be able to literally create your own weapon from scratch, by designing each individual part...that would be awesome...

On a seperate, non gold sink related note, I would like to have the option of which part of my armor I want to dye, instead of it automatically dying it.

That would also be an AWESOME money sink. Instead of dying the whole peice a certain colour, it'd be one vial of dye or something per part of the peice of armour. So you could have something like the use of 5 dyes for the torso, 2-3 dyes for the leggings or gloves and 4-5 dyes for the pants. Bring the rarity of black dye down a bit so it doesn't become hideously expensive and you have a nice sink right there alone.

so your telling me +1 str or +1 firemagic is going to make you lose?

its a one time deal. Once you refine it you get those stats and then the more you refine it it ONLY gets more bright and colorful.

Im not talking diablo stats like 45-100 damage but atleast let us get a little powerful. PUT IN HARDER MONSTERS. there is not ONE MOB that a average group of lvl 20's could not take out.

I was monsters like glint all around the underworld and fow so people will have to THINK instead of just luring a weak mob killing and repeating a million times.

The only time people die in this game is due to horrible monk or when they get seriously mobbed. Other than that one or 2 mobs aint nothing.
